Here at Earth Runner, we aspire to bring you a great selection of activewear that has been produced ethically, is functional, stylish and more sustainable than many of the other options out there. I am not saying that we are perfect, but we’re on the right path.
Each supplier that we stock has been carefully selected to ensure that production is ethical and transparent and the fabrics used are more sustainable than many of the popular sportswear fabrics currently on the market.
Our Australian-based suppliers such as Dharma Bums and d+k are accredited by Ethical Clothing Australia, meaning their Australian supply chains are fully transparent and legally compliant. All products are made in Australia and both suppliers are committed to more sustainable fabric options such as bamboo tops and recycled polyester compression.
Another of our favourite local suppliers, Elle Evans Swimwear, use recycled ECONYL lycra as the base of all of their products and ensure a minimal waste policy by lovingly making all products to order in Melbourne, Australia.
The supplier of our organic cotton underwear, Etiko, are a Certified B Corporation, meaning they have undergone a rigorous assessment that explores governance, transparency, environmental and social impact. It is arguably the most globally recognised accreditation for sustainable business.
The Earth Runner branded organic cotton tops have been sourced and printed by OCC Apparel in Sydney, Australia. They are produced by European label Stanley and Stella, a member of the Fair Wear Foundation, and are made from organic cotton as certified by GOTS (Global Organic Textiles Standard).
Our only international supplier, RUMI X, have their headquarters in Hong Kong. All garments are manufactured in factories that are members of the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), ensuring fair treatment of workers involved in the manufacturing process. The RUMI X signature fabric is made from recycled plastic bottles as part of their commitment to convert waste to recycled activewear.
